Excellencies, Distinguished Colleagues,
The internet has changed the lives of people around the world. It has never before been easier to acquire various types of information and to reach people around the world by entering social online networks, such as Facebook. However, the infinity of the internet also leads to information overflow. Likewise, the majority of social online networks address private people, oftentimes leaving the opportunities from which the professional world could benefit unused. Thus, modern web tools which filter information and social networks that enable people to easily communicate, network and share knowledge with each other in the professional context are a tremendous help.
Making Commitments Matter has set out to develop such tools, pursuing the goals of the United Nations: Better Standards of Life in Larger Freedom.
Excellencies, Distinguished Colleagues, Friends of the United Nations,

The "UN-connecting the World" Conference will be the birthday of UN-informed.org, a ground-breaking filtering tool for UN agreements and it will be the day on which the concept of UN-i.org, an information community for UN Stakeholders will first be presented to a large international audience. But not only that;"UN-connecting the World" will function as the first user conference for UN information. It will bring both the providers and the users of information about the United Nations closely together in order to network, discuss and to come up with new and creative ways to disseminate UN information more directly to a broader public.
We are looking forward to welcoming you in Geneva!
Kind regards,
Marian Sutholt, President
